MTBL’s bills payment, ATM booths launched at Panthapath

 Mutual Trust Bank Limited (MTBL) launched its first MTB bills payment booth and 24/7 ATMs booth at Panthapath in Dhaka recently.

SA Khaleque, former lawmaker and a customer of MTBL Panthapath branch, inaugurated the booths as chief guest, said a press release.

Islami Bank arranges tree plantation programme

Different branches of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited observed ‘Tree Plantation Programme-2013’ across the country.

The bank undertook the initiative to distribute 6 lakh 50 thousand saplings of indigenous fruits variety of tree through its 208 RDS affiliated branches under its Rural Development Scheme during this rainy season.

As a part of this campaign, Noapara, Swandip, Bashkhali, Charfashion, Patuakhali, Sirajganj, Kahalu and Sherpur highway branch of the bank kicked off the plantation programme.

Noapara branch of the bank inaugurated Tree Plantation and Sapling distribution programme at Al Helal Islami Academy premises.

Presided over by Abdus Sobhan, Branch Manager, the function was attended by Avoynagar Upazila Nirbahi Officer and Executive Magistrate Sifat Mehnaz as chief guest.

Saplings of fruits, herbal and wooden trees were distributed among 4500 RDS members of the branch. Swandip Branch of the bank inaugurated ‘Tree Plantation and Sapling Distribution Programme’ at the branch premises.

Md. Anwar Hossain, Branch Manager, presided over the function attended by Md. Shah Alam, Upazial Agriculture Officer as chief guest.

Saplings of indigenous fruits variety were distributed among 150 RDS members of the Branch in the the program.

Bashkhali Branch of the bank inaugurated Tree Plantation and Sapling distribution program at Bashkhali High School premises. Md. Ferdous, the Branch Manager, presided over the function.

Bank Asia holds orientation programme

Aminul Islam, Managing Director, Bank Asia is seen among the participants of an orientation programme on 'Salamah Islamic Banking Service' at the opening session at Bank Asia Institute for Training and Development at Kawran Bazar in Dhaka on Saturday.

 

A day-long orientation programme on 'Salamah Islamic Banking' service was held at Bank Asia Institute for Training and Development at Kawran Bazar in the city on Saturday.

A total of 32 officers of the bank took part in the programme, said a press release.

The programme was arranged to provide brief idea about Islamic Banking, its products as well as `Salamah Islamic Banking' service of Bank Asia among the officers.

NCCB, Long Beach Hotel sign deal

Md. Omar Faruque Bhuiyan, EVP and Head of Cards of NCC Bank Limited and ABM Kamaluddin, General Manager of Long Beach Hotel, exchange documents after signing a corporate agreement at Long Beach Hotel in Cox’s Bazar recently. 

NCC Bank signed a corporate agreement with Long Beach Hotel in Cox’s Bazar recently.

Under this agreement, NCC Bank’s credit and debit card holders as well as employees will get special service and discount facility at the hotel, said a press release.

Md. Omar Faruque Bhuiyan, EVP and Head of Cards of NCC Bank Limited and ABM Kamaluddin, General Manager of Long Beach Hotel signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.

Golam Hafiz Ahmed, Additional Managing Director of NCC Bank, Md. Fazlur Rahman, SEVP and Mohammad Imran Humayun Khan, Manager, Sales and Marketing of Long Beach Hotel were also present.

DBBL to launch agent banking services soon

Ludwig Schulze, CEO of Mistral and Mohammed Moazzem Hossain Khan, Head of IT Development Division of DBBL, seen signing an agreement in Dhaka recently.

Dutch-Bangla Bank (DBBL) will soon launch “Agent Banking Services” using an Agent Banking System (ABS) for providing banking services to another segment of customers who cannot write and sign, and does not possess any mobile phone.

In this regard, an agreement has been signed between DBBL and Mistral recently in Dhaka.

Ludwig Schulze, CEO of Mistral and Mohammed Moazzem Hossain Khan, Head of IT Development Division of DBBL signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.

DBBL has been providing banking services through its Core Banking System (CBS) to a segment of customers who can write and sign a cheque or can operate ATM using debit cards and through its Mobile Banking System (MBS), said a press release.

The Agent Banking System will be supplied and installed at DBBL by Mistral MFS Ltd – a Finland based company.
