BKB disburses Tk 29.31cr farm loan in Narsingdi

NARSINGDI: Bangladesh Krishi Bank (BKB) Narsingdi region has distributed over Taka 29.31 crore as agricultural loan among 3,414 farmers of the district during the first six months of the current fiscal 2013-14 through its 21 branches.

Official sources said BKB earmarked Tk 89,35 crore for disbursement as agriculture loan in the district during the current fiscal. The percentage of loan distribution by the bank in the region stands at 33 percent on December 30.

Meanwhile BKB during the same period realized Tk over 33,42 crore outstanding loan against the realisation target fixed by the bank for the year over Tk 109,50 crore.

The percentage of loan realisation by the bank in the region stands at 31 percent on December 30.

Talking to BSS, official of BKB said that the loan disbursement and realization remained hampered and the percentage of loan disbursement and realization target could not fulfill due to law and order situation in the wake of political unrest.
