Major (Retd) Dr. Md Rezaul Haque, veteran freedom fighter and renowned physician, was elected chairman of Social Islami Bank Limited (SIBL) for the second term.

With a professional practicing career for 42 years as physician in different renowned hospitals of Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia, he headed chest disease hospital in Jeddah as Director and earned much respect of royal Saudi government and Saudi national.

For further enhancing the financial issues of the expatriate Bangladeshi nationals in Saudi Arabia, he had organised a non-political, non-partisan financial organisation in Saudi Arabia by the name of “Bangladesh Socio Economic Forum”.

At home, he was involved in establishment of Darul Ihsan University, he is also associated with the university as Managing Trustee. He is also a sponsor directors of United Hospital and also the Chairmen of Active Builders Limited, Little House Limited and Forum Co-operative Society Limited in the real estate development sector.
